Towards the end of the winter, it is the best time to take a drive out of the city and go to the Melkbosstrand flower fields. It is best in August as most of the fields are in bloom and you have an array of bright coloured flowers! In September they are usually cut and manufactured into different uses like cooking oils, etc.

There are also pretty views and flowers at a lovely beach just around the corner from the fields. We ended up taking a few outfit changes and had a full photoshoot before having a picnic at the beach.
