Festival – A Mirror to Tomorrowland
Festival – A Mirror to Tomorrowland
This is a little bit of a late post, but I thought I’d write about my experience at The Dome, Northgate. This event was quite cool. The first of its kind in South Africa.
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect but the idea of screens at a party wasn’t something I was looking forward to. I opted not to purchase tickets!
The day of the actual event, my friend texted me asking if I would like to join her for the event, and that she scored some free tickets.
Being the good sport I am ๐ I decided to join her.
Upon arriving, the decor was amazing, there were giant mushrooms, trees and little cool props all over the event, and the entrance was a huge vintage story book, as Tomorrowland’s signature style was pretty much like that of a story book.
The sound at The Dome is usually a little sketchy, but for some reason it was somewhat pretending to be at a pumping event but watching it on a giant TV screen… wait! Thatโs exactly what it was!
There were a few live DJ’s like DJ FRESH that was amazing, and I met some great people. I can’t say that the idea of the one-way screening was something that I was overjoyed about but the experience was memorable.
They had a few “Mirror to Tomorrowland events around the world, which made me feel as though I was a part of something huge, that thought is pretty amazing!!
Would love to hear about your experiences, if you’ve joined in on the festivities or if you’ve been to Tomorrowland so do leave me a comment or email ๐
