So I’m sure you’ve seen my 2021 post about all the freebies in the Mother City. If not, do check it out as it’s not just for your birthday month and the list seems longer than you would imagine it should be.
For this post, thought I’d share an updated Freebies List
- The Two Oceans Aquarium
- This is valid for about a week. On your birthday or five days after your birthday.
- You simply show them your ID and they print you a ticket absolutely FREE!
- The Cape Wheel
- However, the Big Wheel at the VA Waterfront is currently being moved to a new, promised-to-be-better location with even better views
- If your birthday is coming up soon, this may not be possible. But if it’s after November, you should be good.
- Zeitz Mocaa
- Yes! The museum offers a free ticket for any day in your birthday month, to visit the beautiful museum!
- The Sky-ride at Hotel Sky
- The ride is pretty quick! so a lot of people feel the price is a little too high but for the entire month of your birthday, you get a ticket FREE. Definitely do this!
- Upcycles Cape Town
- Ever wanted to ride a bicycle on the promenade in Seapoint and just imagine you’re in a fairytale but couldn’t get yourself to buy or rent a bike? Well now you can experience it by not even spending a single cent on the day of your birthday
- Table Mountain Cable Cart
- If you watched my vlog on the Table Mountain adventures, then you’d know we didn’t have enough time to roam around the top of Table Mountain (a WORLD WONDER), so this is definitely an experience I’m repeating this year! Any day in Birthday Month, free ride to and from Table Mountain. Just show the ticket office your ID and they print you a ticket absolutely free of charge.
- Red Bus City Sightseeing
- Children between the ages of 5-15 get a free one-day classic bus ticket for their birthday. A friend of the birthday kid also gets a free pass but the kids need to be accompanied by an adult that has paid full price for a bus ticket.
- Nu Metro and Ster Kinekor
- Free movie ticket within 7 days of your birthday but you have to show your membership card.
- Gallileo – Cinema under the stars
- For the week of your birthday and aligning to the screening schedule, you will receive one free movie ticket, a backrest, and a blanket. This is not valid during special holidays but you are able to contact the Gallileo to add a special on-screen birthday message.
- Mug n Bean
- Offers a generous slice of any of their delicious cakes and a complimentary cappuccino when you download the App and sign up.
- Krispy Kream
- Buy any dozen and get a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts free! You also have to download and sign up on the App. You also get a free doughnut when you sign up on the App.
- Cape Town Fish Market
- R100 gift card to be used at CTFM valid for 30 days from your birthday.
There are still a bunch of really great things to do in Cape Town that I have not included here but I thought this list will keep you pretty busy and you can set up a memorable 2022 Birthday Month for yourself…absolutely Free! There are dozens of hikes and leisure options too so comment below about what you would be most excited about and what will be on your birthday wish list this year.
