I started a Patreon Account
Hi friends, I have been working really hard on my content recently and I thought that I’ll share that I’ve just launched a Patreon account. I don’t usually ask for support, especially monetary support from my friends across any of my social media, but to keep my side hustles going, I would like to request support from people who really love my content. The people who would actually care whether I stopped creating content… A disclaimer for those who don’t know what a Patreon account is: “Patreon is a membership platform that makes it easy for creators to get paid. For creators, Patreon is a way to get paid for…
#8 The Importance of Reading and the Books I’ve read over the last few months
I was doing research on the importance and benefits of reading and I found a really great article https://www.lifehack.org/ So instead of rambling on about it, I suggest that you head over and read the article because it’s so important to know how great reading is for you. The way we exercise our bodies by working out, we exercise our minds by reading. The greatest gift you can award your future (older) self is to have a healthy and “fit” mind. You protect yourself from many diseases like Alzheimer’s, and the article will explain in more detail. Let’s move on to the type of reading to do. Essentially I love…

Short film ~ How important are bees in our ecosystem?
I made a short film, watch it here
Let’s start a Care Community
It’s a lot worse than we want to realize, because the truth ain’t pretty. Tazz Adams On Monday I sat in a session with a doctor discussing COVID. I know, I thought the same thing, yet another presentation, how boring…But I learnt a whole lot and I’ve gained a new found respect for all things quarantine a newer understanding of the virus and it’s new variants. We have been living like the virus and the disease is creates within us is over or less dangerous. With the first lockdown we were so safe with our habits, social distancing and of course mask-wearing. But this time around, we have been a…
#29 Trip to the Dentist = Perfecting that smile
We all know how important it is to have healthy teeth and gums, but most of us don’t like laying in that dreaded chair where the doctor asks you a series of questions you struggle to answer because of the tools and fingers in your mouth. (I knew what I wanted to say, but didn’t come out quite as nicely, but you get what I mean?) Growing up, we went for somewhat regular check-ups and cleaning, we even got the doc to give us braces we never needed because we got to choose cool colors and designs for our plates. We got the one where you can remove it to…

#23 Organize my closets – The KonMari Method
The KonMari Method encourages tidying by category – not by location – beginning with clothes, then moving on to books, papers, komono (miscellaneous items), and, finally, sentimental items. Keep only those things that speak to the heart, and discard items that no longer spark joy. The KonMari Method™ – By Marie Kondo Marie Kondo started a beautiful Japanese method of tidying up and ultimately creating a living space that sparks joy. I have always loved organizing and tidying up but letting go of certain items has been a little hard over the years. We end up holding onto things that we once loved, but now it’s laying under our beds or the…
#92 Family Pantry – Better Buying Habits
We’ve all seen Khloe Kardashians Pantry and dreamt of having one just like hers… so here is a great place to start. The beginning of last year, my family and I decided to have a chat about bulk buying. We merged our dual family and started in January 2020 right before people started panic buying for COVID. That first month we went to Makro and we were surprised with just how many specials there were at the store. The best part came when we received our huge eBucks discount. I’ve seen that most bulk buying habits end because of that huge bill, but we need to realize that the bill…
The Perfect Time To Start
There isn’t a perfect time… But if that seems a little negative, then… the perfect time is NOW. When you don’t feel like you have the perfect equipment or your body isn’t perfect, or your situation is not perfect. There are just too many factors to consider that you will put it off completely and one day, you’ll wish you had just started. The idea that nobody and nothing is perfect, to me, seems a little unrealistic, what if every single thing happens in it’s perfect time, whether we’re prepared for it or not? That to me seems a little more realistic and believable. It is our perception of perfect…
Our passions and my thoughts
I’ve been writing really long statuses on my Instagram posts because I felt that I don’t engage as much as I should. But even when I do that, the engagement is made up of strangers telling me how beautiful I am and typically never has anything to do with the creativity of the content. I appreciate the compliments but is it really a compliment to me if I played no real part in the creation of my outer shell? I guess I’m always searching for that validation of my work, if it’s worthwhile for me to keep creating, to keep sharing if that old dude from Nowhere’s Land is the…
Bucket List #77 Landscape the backyard
A little bit of history on Rest, my brother from another mother. He is a painter, by trade, and has been our go-to painter and handy man since we were teenagers. We used to get him to come and work at out house many years ago and a while ago we offered that he comes and lives with us, and he accepted! He has his own quarters on the property and he is always busy doing something productive from early in the morning until sunset, he certainly does not live up to his name. We’ve taken him as our brother all of these years and he has such a special…
