So my family and I decided we needed a detox at the beginning of the year to clear our bodies from all the sugars and ‘bad food choices’ throughout the festive season. We found out about the military diet and amazingly enough, within three days we each lost almost 2kgs and cleared our skin as a bonus.
The diet was pretty simple, the shopping list was manageable and there were moments where it felt a little annoying because you crave the snacks and the cups of tea/ coffee. But it’s three days so it wasn’t too bad, at all!
It’s pretty much like intermittent fasting because you also breaking the habit of having snacks etc. For a more long term weight loss routine, it’s usually 3 days on and 4 days off. According to some research I’ve done myself, people have lost quite a bit of weight. I reckon it’s great for managing poor diet but my family eats relatively healthy, for the most part. So we missed our healthy snacks throughout the day.
If you’re keen to give your body a little reset, give it a go!
We also learnt that there were substitutions for some of the things that were maybe not our favourites, so please let me know if you have any questions, I’ll be happy to share my researched information.
