I’ve started a new fitness journey and with a lot of these weight-loss journeys there’s always a chance of getting ugly stretchmarks.
I’m pretty scared of stretchmarks even though I don’t really have very apparent ones, my skin doesn’t feel that even and smooth.
I heard that using a tissue oil during transition phases (like weight-loss or pregnancy) you can make a complete difference in your skins appearance.
There are so many different brands out there and it is so hard to decide on which brand to use.
I was excited to receive the Avroy Shlain Body Essence ‘Nourishing Tissue Oil’ from BeautyBulletin because I didn’t need to go out and make that choice. I have reviewed the product for the last two weeks in two different climates since going to Cape town and I have to say I have enjoyed using this brand.
At first I thought it’s just an ordinary tissue oil but it almost doesn’t feel like oil. Firstly it has this incredibly nourishing feel that I have never felt in an oil before. It doesn’t leave any oily residue because it really soaks into your skin.
I love the smell of roses, like rose waters and oils and this leaves a subtle scent of that on your skin. I have used this on my entire body every night for the last two weeks and I do feel that my skin is more nourished. I can’t say the difference in brightness is out of this world but there is a little bit of a difference and it’s only been two weeks.
From the scent, the feel and the nourishing overall feel, I think this has been a really great product to use. I don’t usually opt for oils in spring/summer because I don’t like the sticky feel but this honestly feels like a lotion because it glides on so light and easy. I’ve been applying this tissue oil to my entire body so I hope to see a big difference at least in some areas, the longer I use it.
At first glance at the over R300 price tag, I thought it’s a little expensive for the amount of product in the bottle, but I really think it is worth the splurge. You only need a tiny bit.
I like the minimalistic, ‘green Earthy’ design, just makes me feel like I’m using a really good, organic product for my skin even though I don’t think it is.
I would definitely purchase this product myself and continue to use it. I think the longer I use it the better my skin will look and feel.

This tissue oil sounds fantastic, I love using oils because I’ve found them very effective but I don’t like the oily feeling afterwards so I usually only put it on in the evening before bed. I won’t handle walking around in the morning feeling all oily and slick. I’ve also lost some weight and now I’m left with awful stretch marks. I love magnolia oil, it smells divine and is very effective but I get that oily feeling for a while afterwards.
