Bucket List #11 New Car (something more off-road)
I never imagined that 2020 would be the year that I finally get to do this, but life is full of little surprises. I’ve always dreamt about finally being able to get a new car, also something that suits my lifestyle. As much as I loved my RunX, I wanted more of an SUV for those off-road adventures I hope will await me in Cape Town too. I have a vision of what I would like to be doing and where I would like to find myself a few years from now and I think this is a step in the right direction.
My previous car was manual which I love but I think I was hoping for more of a relaxed drive especially in the terrine that I want to start heading to. The normal cars tend to struggle a little bit on the dirt roads and certain uphills and my car also had a sports exhaust so it was SUPER loud, LOL. I guess I grew out of that little phase.
I never in a million years thought that I will be able to buy a brand new car, I waited a good couple of years and my mom always says, there is something bigger that awaits… I never really thought that far ahead, because even though I have faith that things happen as they should, it was a massive surprise that this was even a possibility. My gratitude is immensely overwhelming. I made a little vlog about this journey and saying goodbye to my old, faithful car… PUFFIN. It was emotional for me and I had mixed emotions all-round.
Also I have been using my gifted Thandana bag absolutely everywhere, since receiving the package.
Recently went to Cape Town for a week, it was easy to strap around me on the plane, carry along on little adventures and tours, and I was never without the essentials. It also helps you minimize the number of things you take along everywhere, which is always great.
The first place I took it along to was on this special little pick-up, you can see how cute and compact it is in the vlog above 🙂 My favorite part about the bag is not the size or the chic look, but the fact that it was ethically sourced and created. I have stopped using a lot of products because they do not think or do enough research about where the materials are sourced from, and many times they are not ethical or even legal. This one is… and I am absolutely loving my new go-to sling bag.
