Make-up vs Natural Beauty

I’ve managed to have a love/hate relationship with make-up. I feel a little dab here or there makes all the difference. The word enhance is probably not my favourite word to describe the transformation makeup allows, but it truly allows your best features to stand out.

The thing that I dislike about makeup is the way that people are recently completely transforming every inch of their faces and bodies. They are changing their entire complexion and features in its entirety. From the beautiful, natural colour of their skin to to the shape of their noses, jawline and face shape.

Makeup should be fun, but in doing that, our natural beauty seems a tad inadequate and flat without makeup. Then it become a necessity to feel beautiful. We lose our idea our own natural beauty because it doesn’t exactly tie up with the standards of society.

I’ve seen so many tutorials where these stunning woman have a makeup transformation and I cannot even watch half of the video because these woman end up looking like someone totally different! I mean, these “artists” are completely stripping them from the exquisite, natural beauty, adding literally a ton of products and then calling her beautiful. As though they had to start all over because every one of her features wouldn’t work! It blows my mind! Some even end up wearing contact lenses and adding extensions and weaves.. and what is more mind blowing is that they look as though they are a completely different race or even species?? Felines? Aliens?

How are we so liberal and free if we are still so stuck to conforming to a standard or trend? Anyway before I go on another rant about freedom, let me get started on the intent of my post. lol

The second month of the year is almost at a close! Yes time is ticking by at the speed of light and not waiting for us to be ready!

With every day that passes, I hope that you are living each day taking a step closer to where you want to be. I know I certainly am trying my absolute best to make my dreams a reality.It has also been proven to be more difficult when you have your passion at one end and your responsibilities on the other.

Things like planning your makeup for either a hot date post Valentine’s Day or your cheeky proclamation against the said “Month of Love”, makeup looks should be fun and easy!

From your content suggestions, I have decided that I need to do more Beauty Videos on my Youtube Channel for you guys.

Using the Month of Love as inspiration, I am going to upload pro-love and anti-love looks for you!

*Pro-love will be a fun, flirty and brighter shades of colour (like reds and pink)

*Anti-love will be fun, sultry and dark shades of colour, somewhat unconventional (like blue, black and purple)

I think it will be so much fun showing you ladies exactly how to achieve the looks that I sometimes play around with. If there is a look you would like me to create, please do tag me in a photo and I will try my best to create them for you.

I will also be trying out some awesome products and giving you guys affordable product suggestions to create these looks yourself.
