My 2019 year in review – Creating my Bucket List for 2020
It is incredible how much we are able to achieve in just one year. If you have an opportunity to look back on how far you’ve come, you will realise just how much you’ve grown.
I make a Vision Board towards the beginning of the new year and towards the end, I have a look at all the things I was able to achieve and how much I’ve grown in that year. For 2020 I’ve decided to do my Vision Board/ Bucket List a little differently. I want to create a checklist of “100 Things to do in 2020” and for everything that I am fortunate enough to experience and check off the list, I will capture the moments. By the end of 2020, it will be a reel of incredible memories made and of course a spectacular journey throughout.
The best part of creating the list is cementing it into the universe and that serving as an affirmation that will certainly motivate me until I actually carry it out and tick it all off the list.
We think that making New Year’s Resolutions, in our minds, is enough. But we change our minds and we also forget what we envisioned for our future, but having something “in writing” has proven to be life-changing. There are so many times that we are blessed to receive exactly what we’ve wanted and worked for, or even something Better! But because we don’t see it…it blows over as no-big-deal, but it is a BIG DEAL.
For example, I’ve wanted a GoPro for as long as I can remember and in either 2017/ 2018 I listed a GoPro Hero5 because it was the best one at the time. In 2019, I finally bought myself the GoPro Hero 7 Black, which was the best one out!
I was also incredibly blessed to have achieved so many milestones and ticked off a ton of things off my list, some that I never thought were possible, yet, looking back, was truly moving!
Another example of something I had on my list for 2019… “See a new country” and “International Travel with my Sister”. Up until this year, we’ve never travelled internationally together so we planned an extremely memorable trip to Dubai and Thailand and we had the most amazing time! If you’d like to see the fun, I made a couple videos and posted it to my YouTube channel and my IG.
It’s honestly the most rewarding thing to look back on and I will highly recommend creating a list of your own and then doing everything possible to achieve each one.
I am not going to share my full list on the blog, but I will be posting content across my platforms as and when it happens. I feel like it makes it a little exciting, so hopefully, you guys feel the same 😉
Also, there is a sense of secrecy that I think we all need to cherish things more sacred. My list includes some normal stuff, like getting fitter and more healthy, to physical stuff like paddle-boarding. Even includes slightly more random stuff like cleaning out my closet (cue the Eminem soundtrack) LoL.
So I hope you will all join me on these adventures and also start with creating your Bucket Lists for 2020.
