With everything going on, I thought maybe I should write a post to express my thoughts. . our events are of course on hold during this time, with Covid-19 and the world being in quarantine.
A lot of our events are outdoors, in the sun and mostly adventurous, but when it comes to our Bucket Lists, there are plenty of them, that we’re able to do from the comfort of our own homes.
We need to relook at our lists and make amendments to suit what is happening in the world right now. But we still need to try our best to be active, creative and in some way adventurous. We’re still able to do things that we’ve either never done before or things we always wished we would do, but didn’t have the time.
We’ve been given a reset opportunity. To maybe catch up on some much-needed sleep, get into a better routine, cook better quality food because these are just some of the things we seem to rush through usually.
Things to also do is to keep active, that could mean doing a few push-ups or sit-ups, or practicing some yoga, doing a few rounds up and down the stairs… or simply practicing some mindfullness and meditation. What ever you are able to do during this time, try to make it productive or beneficial in some way.
If you live with your family, spend quality time, or play with your pets a little everyday, preferrably while catching some sun rays, or have your daily meals together and try to remember to stay hydrated throughout the day.
I found that taking a shower early in the morning and getting into comforable clothes, making your bed and making something nutritious for breakfast, really changes the mood throughout your day. It is extremely easy to just stay in pajamas, laying in bed all day eating a ton of snacks, but trust me, it’s just going to make you feel progressively worse.
We will hopefully resume our Events Calendar in the Spring. We look forward to all the great adventures that lie ahead, God willingly. Praying that you are all safe and healthy.
